Some of the world’s most popular and best loved films, tv productions, animation and documentaries has been made here in the UK. Its reputation in filmmaking, TV production, animation, and special effects is recognised globally.

The UK has a long and enviable history of producing global successes such as Planet Earth, Game of Thrones, Line of Duty, The Crown, Broadchurch. The UK can also lay claim to cinematic masterpieces such as the Harry Potter films, the Bond series and Avengers: Infinity War.

Media student wins Association of College's Young Student of the Year

Kizzy Wade, a Vocational student at Selby College, has been named as the Association of Colleges’ Young Student of the Year.

Nominated for her commitment to raising awareness on issues such as disability and mental health, Kizzy is a keen poet and spoken word activist who aims to address the topics important to her generation through her writing.

Kizzy lives with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and OCD but has never let this stop her breaking through her physical limitations to create art.
