You’re always welcome to come in and explore what the College can offer you, or if you need a bit of advice and guidance, Student Central is where you can access a range of support services from friendly College staff.
During your time at College you will get the chance to take part in enrichment activities. There is always plenty to get involved in through your course, clubs, social trips, wellbeing activities as well as supporting the Student Union. Also think about volunteering! It develops great skills and you can take advantage of your timetable-free Wednesday afternoons.
As a Selby College student, you’re automatically a member of the Students’ Union. Democratic elections are held annually for an executive committee of students. Any student can apply. Save money also with a Student Union Totum Card.
Every group in College will elect a Student Rep so that your voice is always heard and opinions can be shared. If you are a class rep, you will be a member of the Student Voice Council and will meet regularly with staff to help inform change and improvements for students.
Every student will take part in work experience activity through visits to workplaces, guest speakers, social action projects, work readiness activity and through a work placement. Plan for your work placement by asking friends and family, contact employers with your CV and speak to our Work Placement Co-ordinator for more advice
