VRQ Diploma, Level 2

Women’s Hairdressing

This course will equip you with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge to pursue a career in hairdressing or for progression on to the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing.

It should be noted that the course includes theory, including some science, as well as practical work. You will be expected to complete some theory work online at home, with the support of your tutors.

This course is designed for learners aged 19+.

You will gain hands-on experience in:

  • Health and Safety
  • Client Consultation
  • Cutting
  • Colouring
  • Styling

On successful completion, you may choose to progress on to the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing, subject to the successful completion of this qualification, evidence of progression in English and Maths, a successful interview and reference. Many students also choose an Apprenticeship to earn whilst they learn and continue their studies.

  • Mobile Stylist

The course is suitable for anyone who is interested in Hairdressing, has good dexterity and communication skills.

Standard Level 2 entry requirements apply - the minimum requirement is at least four GCSEs at Grade 3, one of which will be in English or Maths. At least two GCSE subjects at Grade 3 are required alongside GCSE equivalent qualifications.
