City and Guilds 3268 Welding - Levels 1, 2 & 3

Level 1

This is a practical, highly flexible course specifically designed to meet the needs of learners wishing to acquire welding skills at a beginner level.

Level 2

This is a practical, highly flexible course specifically designed to meet the needs of learners wishing to acquire welding skills at an intermediate level.

Level 3

This course will build on your existing knowledge and help you to acquire welding skills at an advanced level.

You will study the theory and practice of welding in one of the following:-

  • Metal Inert Gas Welding (MIG)
  • Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG)
  • Manual Metal Arc Welding (ARC)

You can progress through each level of welding.

This qualification could be a useful further step towards various careers within the fabrication and welding industry.

Level 1

There are no formal entry requirements but you will need a keen interest in developing welding skills.

Level 2

Successful completion of City & Guilds 3268 Level 1 or relevant previous experience.

Level 3

City & Guilds 3268 Level 2 or substantial previous welding experience at a Level 2 standard.

Assessment is through practical assignments and a multiple choice examination.
