Spa Therapy

The VTCT Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Spa Therapy is a substantial vocational qualification that will confirm your competence as a spa therapist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.

It should be noted that there is a large amount of science involved in this course, in addition to which you will study:

• Monitor Procedures to Safely Control Work Operations

• Contribute to the Planning and Implementation of Promotional Activities

• Provide Body Massage Treatments • Provide Electrical Facial Treatments

• Provide Indian Head massage Treatments

• Provide Stone Therapy Treatments

• Monitor Clients and the Operating of Sauna, Steam and Hydrotherapy Treatments

• Provide Body Wrapping and Flotation Treatments

You will be taught in our state-of-the-art salon, and in a real spa environment, which will provide you with the opportunity to learn spa therapy skills, whilst working on real clients. It is important for you to have the opportunity to learn in a real working environment, particularly because this qualification leads to employment in such a client-centred and service orientated sector. You will be assessed not only in aspects of Spa Therapy but also on professionalism, punctuality and reliability. You will be expected to complete 1 week work experience in a salon. This may involve travelling some distance and working late evenings where necessary. (This may be subject to Covid 19 restrictions)

This qualification could enable you to progress into Higher Education or undertake a career in the industry.

For this course you must have successfully completed the Level 2 NVQ Diploma Beauty Therapy. Please note: If you have not achieved a Grade 4 or above in GCSE English and/or Maths, you will be required to continue studying these alongside your college course.
