Having worked within the food industry for a number of years, I wanted to further expand my skill set. I began studying for my degree whilst continuing to work. This reinforces for me, the importance of the educational opportunities that Selby College provides.

I have since gone on to do further training and development to expand my knowledge and see this as an integral part of both career and social development throughout adult life.I currently work for Greencore and I am also part of external Technical Committees for the food industry.

It is exciting to be a part of Selby College and to play a part in influencing positive change in the surrounding areas that the College covers and being aware of the importance of this.

In my spare time, I enjoy keeping active and travelling.
