City and Guilds 3268 Welding - Levels 1, 2 & 3

Level 1

The Level 1 Award is ideal if you are new to the welding, metal fabrication, thermal cutting and brazing & soldering and want to gain knowledge and practical experience.

To gain a qualification you must successfully complete a number of practical assignments and an oral knowledge test. The training is aimed at those with little or no experience, maybe to assess their suitability for this type of work, DIY enthusiasts or those wanting to improve existing basic skills on a particular process.

Range of level 1 awards available in TIG, MIG or MMA.

Level 2

The Level 2 Award is ideal if you are already working in welding and fabrication industries and are looking to develop your skills further, to increase your responsibilities and knowledge. To gain a qualification you must successfully complete a number of practical assignments and an oral knowledge test for each unit.

The training also provides welding personnel with the skills required for Welder Approval Test Certificate to BS EN4872 where welding procedure approval is not required. Ideal for maintenance or occasional welding requirements, and demonstrates welds are a sound quality (BS EN4872 will incur Additional test fee if required).

This course will run on Tuesday evenings, 6pm-9pm.
