Student Finance Direct for Higher Education Students
Our advisors are available to help with your queries on financing your Higher Education course
If you are studying a part-time Higher Education course, you can apply for a non-repayable Fee Grant and Course Grant to help pay for tuition fees and other costs related to your course.
The Fee Grant can help pay for your tuition fees. The Course Grant can help pay for other study costs such as books, materials and travel. Universities or colleges decide how much the tuition fees are for part-time courses, there is not a minimum or maximum amount. If you receive a Fee Grant that does not cover the fees charged to you, you may be able to get extra money from Selby College through the Additional Fee Support Scheme. Part-time students may also be able to get help from the Access to Learning Fund.
Higher Education students can also apply for Tuition Fee Loans and Student Loans which are repayable. For further advice on financial support please contact Student Services tel: 01757 211040, log on to
