Since it was first established in 1984, Selby College has become one of the most successful colleges in England. In 2007, we were graded by Ofsted as 'Outstanding' in all areas - the first college in Yorkshire and the Humber to achieve this accolade. In 2008, our success continued, becoming the highest performing General Further Education College in England, achieving Learning and Skills 'Beacon status 'for Educational Excellence and continuing to record some of the highest student exam results in England. Our 'A' Level pass rate was the highest of any General Further Education College in Yorkshire and the Humber, achieving an amazing 99.2% pass rate.
